iPadOS client crashes

Since 4.8.12 the client is crashing with iPadOS 12.5.7 :

I set-up the server, I connect to this server. It's working. But at the next bOS client launch, it crashes. The server needs to be re-installed each time.

4.8.11 was working fine.

Can you either fix this bug, or set-up 4.8.12 as not compatible with iPadOS 12.5.7, which would force the iPad to download version 4.8.11 ?

Thanks,

François

Hello François,

it would be best if we could arrange a testflight testing with you if possible. Please send us an email at support@comfortclick.com and we'll provide you with the information for testflight testing of the app. So we can troubleshoot the issue and see if we can get it working on your ipads.

Best regards.

Hi

I have exactly the same problem - inexpensive  older iPads are ideal graphical clients used in "kiosk" mode. Can you please re-instate downloading of the older version that worked for older iPads. Many other app developers do this as a really helpful service to users.

Thanks

Andy

Hello,

I understand that bOS client 4.8.12 is not compatible with iPadOS 12.5.7, but you have uploaded 4.8.12 on the Apple store as if it was compatible with iPadOS 12.5.7. So, it’s not possible anymore to upload client 4.8.11.

I’m not asking to make client 4.8.12 compatible with an old iPadOS. I’d just like that this client to be correctly set-up on the Apple Store.

Then when I will upload bOS client from iPadOS 12.5.7, the Apple store will say that client 4.8.12 is not compatible, and will automatically upload 4.8.11, which is fine.

But unless the bOS client is correctly set-up on the Apple store, there are no ways I can install the old client.

My clients have many old iPads. I cannot change all of them. Using Safari is not user-friendly, and you cannot use « Guided access » on the iPad. (that’s a « kiosk mode » that will lock the screen on bOS client only.)

Could you set-up the new client with the correct compatibility information on the Apple store ?

Thanks,

François

Hello François,

unfortunately due to the mandatory update of .NET of the latest release to 6.0 the older iOS versions are no longer supported. Try updating the iPads to the newer iOS version for the bOS Client application.
You can use Safari to control your devices.

Best regards.
