Modbus Register - Massive Upload

I am writing regarding the configuration of Modbus points within your platform.

At present, there is no CSV import function available for Modbus register configuration. When working with large register maps, every point must be created and configured manually (Address, Modbus Table, Data Format, cyclic settings, etc.), which is time-consuming and increases the risk of human error.

I would strongly recommend introducing a structured CSV import feature for Modbus registers, similar to the workflow you already provide for KNX imports from ETS.

A practical approach could be:

• Provide a downloadable CSV template file directly from ComfortClick
• The template would contain the required columns (e.g. Name, Address, Modbus Table, Data Format, Send Value Cyclically, Use Status Address, Read Cyclically)
• Users populate the file offline
• The system validates and imports the file with preview and error reporting

This would mirror the KNX import logic:

• Clear structure
• Vendor-defined format
• Reduced configuration time
• Scalable commissioning for larger Modbus integrations

For integrators working with dozens or hundreds of registers, this feature would significantly improve productivity and platform scalability.
