Android app disconnection and reconnection is slow
I have issues with keeping the app open on android tablets. I use wall tablets and the app disconnects and shuts down reagularily. If I reconnect it works fine but it is annoing to reconnect daily. The issue is not with connection. Server and tablet ar in LAN but still disconnects.
Similar problem is with most Adroid phones. Connecting to the app is slow and every second time I have to press disconnect button and connect again and then the app load fine. This issue is not new, been like that for years and it gets more and more annoing especially if you compare to other apps that open instantly and with no delay at all. I beleive the issue is structural not because some specific android version or device. Is there a plan to fix the issue so that app connects fast and with no hassle. If client has only one profile installed the profile should connect immidetly and if you want to keep the app open, it should stay open infinitely and if there is a connection issue, it should connect automatically.
Hello,
Most of the problems in every Android tablet or phone is not related with the app, but the battery saving mode, existing in most of them, or all of them.
I have several clients with tablets, and Android phones, and at the beginning all of them had the same problem, keeping the app alive.
In every single one of them, the problem was the battery saving mode on their device. By default, most of the vendors adopt this, and the most of the apps fall on that section. This is done to prevent battery draining, etc.
If you want the app to be kept open, you have to edit the app settings on the device, so you can choose not to restrict background activity etc. Usually this is done by long pressing the app icon, and then info or settings, look for background settings or battery related stuff, and simply choose no restrictions, or something like disable battery saver, the option really depends on the vendor.
