Feature requests
I thought I'd create a new feature request thread that consolidates known feature requests into one topic. Please feel free to add your own requests here.
Here are some updates I've been waiting for:
- Improved search options - for user logs and general devices. Some logs have filter/search options, but most of them don't. If we need to debug user logs, it can be challenging to find specific entries, especially in a large apartment building with 180+ apartments.
- The ability to disable/enable drivers from themes/programs.
- The option to insert links into the bOS web browser/camera jpeg links directly from a program.
- The option to disable the bOS internal chat or limit chat access to admins only.
- The ability to export data to Excel, particularly metering values and other relevant information for building managers
- Better graphs for analog logs - zooming and pinpointing values.
Forum feature - make it so the user/topic creator is able to edit its posts - it lets you edit for only a short time period after posting.
Good morning everyone!
Another visualization upgrade that I find very useful is the following:
- the ability to rotate the text and/or the entire object (sometimes you need to insert text rotated 90° into the context).
- the ability to resize the icon separately from the text (often with relatively long text, a smaller icon allows for better viewing while maintaining the text).
- for "schedule" objects, the ability to directly jump to the relevant settings in the graphic instead of enabling/disabling them, while still allowing the user to disable them within the settings.
- the ability to delete/edit a saved trend point to correct any incorrect curves due to saving an insignificant value (for example, if the normal power is 10kW, the saved point of 300kW is unrealistic and makes the graph unreadable when displayed).
- being able to set a static, non-dynamic trend scale to ensure the displayed values are always consistent with the measurements.
I also agree with the request to perform an automatic system backup, for example, using an FTP folder on the local network. The same feature could also be useful for periodic trend backups, thus reducing the internal storage period since the data remains saved in a remote folder.
Finally, I agree with the request to be able to disable and re-enable the various protocols from an internal program to restart the connection (for example, at a specific time or in the event of a connection failure for more than 5 minutes).
Thanks,
Enrico
